At their solo concert held at Billboard Live TOKYO on September 14th, Homecomings announced that they will be releasing their third major album, “see you, frail angel. sea adore you.” on November 27th.
This is the first release after about a year and a half since the previous album “New Neighbors,” and the first release with a three-member lineup. It will include “Moon Shaped,” the theme song for the movie “Crescent Moon and Cat,” which won first place on the USEN J-POP chart. Focusing on the core of the members themselves, the gentle and warm presence remains intact, while the strength and delicate and subtle sensibility that they have accumulated through live tours and numerous festival appearances smoothly coexist. The floating sound that combines alternative, shoegaze, emotronica, and glitch noise gives this album a new charm and range of expression. The CD + Blu-ray version will include the performance “Homecomings Chamber Set at Billboard Live TOKYO 2024,” which was held on September 14th and also featured a string quartet.
The cover artwork was photographed by member Yuki Fukutomi (Gt.), illustrated by illustrator Naoya Sanuki, who has worked on many of Homecomings’ previous artworks, and designed by designer Taikuto Okamoto. Other details will be announced at a later date.
Regarding this album, Fukutomi commented, “The coastline of the town where I grew up and the sea covered in rice stalks. Rowing away and things left behind. The angel within and the angel as a neighbor. The soft, sandy fragility and kindness. The existence of other people, and my own existence here. Reaching out despite imperfection and unevenness, and taking an outstretched hand. Long-distance swimming and boundaries. This is a record about bright places that smell of security.”
In addition, additional shows for the solo tour “angel near you” that was announced the other day have been announced, bringing the tour to nine cities across Japan, including Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. The Tokyo show on December 28th will be held at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO), the largest venue to date.
The fourth official advance ticket reservation period began on September 14th, and student discount tickets are also available, so be sure to check this out as well.

PROFILE
The members are Tatami Ayaka (Vo./Gt.), Fukuda Honami (Ba./Cho), and Fukutomi Yuki (Gt.).
Since forming in 2012, the band has been active, touring overseas in places like Taiwan and the UK, and appearing at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL five times. The band’s comfortable melodies are enhanced by lyrics that weave detailed descriptions of everyday life, and their beautiful yet nostalgic singing voice is sure to appeal to listeners, and they are gaining support.
In 2017, they started a film and music event called “New Neighbors” in collaboration with illustrator Naoya Sanuki. They hosted a double feature event of screening a film they selected and an acoustic live performance related to the film. In 2019, they were in charge of the theme songs for the films “Liz and the Blue Bird” and “Love is Hard”. Vocalist Tatami has expanded the scope of their activities, including participating as a guest vocalist in songs by Quruli and ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION. They made their major debut with IRORI Records in 2021 and released their second major album “New Neighbors” last year in 2023.
