Gohoubi will release the ending theme “Toiu wa” for the TV anime “Kekkon Suru, Honestly Desu ka?” on October 11th! TikTok pre-release also confirmed!

It has been announced that Gohoubi, a four-member band with a mixed male and female voice and a tofu mentality, will release their new song, “Toiu wa,” the ending theme for the TV anime “Kekkon Suru Tte, Honestly Desu ka,” which will begin airing on October 3, digitally on October 11. Prior to the release, it has also been decided that only the first and second choruses of the song will be available for pre-release on TikTok from September 20.

The cover photo was also released, created by maniko, a popular illustrator who has worked on many of Gohoubi’s cover art and music video illustrations. It depicts a woman looking up at the full moon in the night sky and stopping to look at it, with a man gazing at her next to her. The design makes you wonder about the words exchanged between the two of them as they stand on the bridge, and their relationship.

Additionally, part of the audio for “Toiu wa” is used in the third promotional video for the TV anime “Are You Really Getting Married?”, giving you the chance to check out the song early on.

Gohobi will release their second major EP “GOHOBI QUATTRO -spicy-” on October 23rd, and will hold “GOHOBI ONEMAN LIVE “Gohobi Quattro All You Need!” at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, the largest capacity venue in the band’s history, on November 15th. Tickets for the live are on sale now, so if you’re interested, be sure to get yours early.

Profile
Formed in 2018. With straightforward lyrics and a wide range of musicality that is not limited to any particular genre, despite being classic J-pop, the comfortable harmony is born from the two completely different singing voices of the soft and tolerant “Cody” and the unique and cute voice of “Susie”. Not only the music, but also the detailed art direction and music videos are all created by the members themselves. Whether you have had a good day or are feeling down, give yourself a little cheer for all your hard work.

Even before his debut, he provided the song “Omoide” for the 10th anniversary of “Shimajiro no Wow!” produced by Benesse Corporation and TV Setouchi, and “NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW” was chosen as the ending theme for FM NACK5’s professional baseball broadcast program “SUNDAY LIONS”.
He has attracted the attention of people with high sensitivity. In the July 2022 Shibuya store ranking of “Tawakuru,” a joint project between Tower Records and Shimokitazawa Sound Cruising, a popular corner in Tower Records, he won first place for two consecutive weeks, and his first EP “Hajimete no Gohoubi,” which he produced as a self-released album, sold out.

In the live scene, they have steadily gained the support of listeners with their solid musical skills and performances, and their solo live performance at Shibuya WWW in September 2022 was SOLD OUT.

On January 18, 2023, she made her major debut with the digital single “Suki na Fuku”. Since then, she has appeared in many TV shows, including the opening song “Show Me Your Face Without a Thread of Clothes” for the late-night local drama “Zenra Meshi” on Kansai TV Thursdays,
They continue to release music energetically, including “Love Shuffle,” the ending theme for Fuji TV’s “Weekly Ninety-Nine Music” (February/March 2024).

In April 2024, Gohobi will release their first major EP “GOHOBI QUATTRO -sweet-“, which will serve as their business card. They will also release two anime tie-up songs at the same time: “Blouse”, the opening theme for the TV anime “Giseki Harem” which will begin airing in July, and “MAKUAKE”, the ending theme for the TV anime “Isekai Yururi Kikou ~Kodomo ga Bōken Shimaru~”. On November 15th, they will hold a solo concert at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, which will be the largest capacity venue in the band’s history.
