Bialystocks’ song “Kids” from their third album “Songs for the Cryptids,” which will be released on October 2nd, was released on September 18th.
Regarding “Kids,” vocalist Motosora Hoki commented, “It’s about the time we had as children, when we could move freely. I created this song to be in conversation with the various sensations that everyone had when they were little, that seem to always be with them but rarely reveal themselves. I’d be happy if people could listen to it while taking a walk.”
The third album, “Songs for the Cryptids,” will include 10 songs in total, including “Kids,” the theme song for the movie “Route 29,” “Mirror,” “Choozu,” written specifically for the “Soflan Aeris” commercial, “Branches,” the commercial song for Meidensha Corporation’s “Electricity, Become a Verb. Purify. Edition,” the ending theme for TV Tokyo’s Drama 24 “What Did You Eat Yesterday? Season 2,” and “Recently,” the opening theme for the drama “RoOT.”
The CD + Blu-ray edition will include a special edited version of the additional performance, “Bialystocks 2nd Tour 2023 – EX THEATER ROPPONGI,” which was the final show of the tour held in September 2023, including original Blu-ray cuts by an, who also designed the Bialystocks jacket.
In the run up to the album release, Space Shower TV will be broadcasting Bialystocks content for three consecutive months starting in August. The third installment will be a special program filmed for the album on October 17th at 9pm.
To celebrate the release of the album, the band will be holding their biggest live house tour to date, “Songs for the Cryptids Tour,” in October, visiting seven locations across the country. Tickets are on sale at all ticket agencies. Don’t miss it!
Comment from Motoki Hoki
The time when we were children and could move freely.
I created this piece to seem as if it is always in your hands, and to converse with the various sensations that we all had as children but that rarely surface.
I would be happy if you could listen to it while taking a walk.

Bialystocks Profile
The band was formed in 2019 after a live screening of the film “Haruneko,” directed by Sora Hokimoto and produced by Shinji Aoyama. In 2021, they released their first full-length album, “Bialystocks.” In 2022, they were selected for Spotify’s “RADAR: Early Noise 2022,” and in November of the same year, they released their second full-length album, “Quicksand,” through PONYCANYON/IRORI Records. The combination of vocalist Motoki Hoki’s soulful and expansive singing voice, folky and warm melodies, and keyboardist Go Kikuchi’s jazz-based but genre-crossing instrumental arrangement is described as both universal and cutting-edge.
