55th anniversary of debut! Naoko Ken’s new album “Starting today, with you” to be released! Jacket photo also revealed!

Naohko Ken will be releasing her first new album in nine years, “Starting today, with you,” on November 20th to commemorate her 55th debut anniversary.

The album contains seven songs, all of which are masterpieces that are deeply meaningful to him, including self-covers. Four self-covers of his representative songs, carefully selected from his many hits, are his first top 10 hit “Guzu” from 1975, his single “Abayo” from 1976, his single “Kamome wa Kamome” from 1978, and his single “Natsu wo Akiramete” from 1982. In addition, he has recorded three covers of Miyuki Nakajima’s songs “Headlight Taillight” and “Thread”, and a cover of Maki Asakawa’s song “Kona Kaze ni Suite Iku No Nara”, for a total of seven songs.

Naohko Ken herself said, “I carefully selected songs that I have a special attachment to at various stages in my career as a singer,” and the new album delivers the songs with her unique singing spirit and style.

In October, the “Umezawa Tomio Theatre Company Umezawa Tomio Ken Naoko Special Performance” series, which includes singing and acting, will begin at the Meijiza Theater in Tokyo.
