The live event “Kyoto Geigeki 2024” held by Kyoto-based rock band Hakubi on August 10th will be streamed for free on Twitch’s Amazon Music Japan channel from 8pm on October 2nd.
“Kyoto Geigeki” is a live event hosted by Hakubi that has been held every year since 2019, except for cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will be held for the fifth time in 2024. This program will look back on the event that Hakubi created together with a total of 10 bands from his generation, along with a live talk from Hakubi. To commemorate this distribution, Amazon Music has released a playlist featuring songs from artists appearing in “Kyoto Geigeki 2024” and an original playlist consisting of songs selected by Hakubi members.
Also, on October 4th, the first performance of the national tour “Hakubi Tour 2024 “underwater”” will be held at Shibuya WWW. Tickets go on sale to the general public from 10am on September 28th. The free live concert to be held at the same venue at noon on the same day has already closed due to the large number of applications. The first performance will be Hakubi’s first live performance with a four-piece lineup, with support from drums and guitar. They are also planning to perform a new song for the first time after the new system, and it is said, “It is a song that represents our new challenge of moving forward even though we are struggling, and it is a song that symbolizes this tour.” We have also received comments from Katagiri (Vo.Gt) expressing his thoughts on this tour.

Seven years have passed since I started my activities as Hakubi, and I have taken the time to reconsider my music activities.
During this period, I honestly wanted to try things that I had given up on because they didn’t feel right, so I started working on music production and live production. Although there were many difficulties with the two-person structure, I feel that I am able to focus more on music.
During this national tour “underwater”, we will also perform new songs under the new system. It is a song that represents our new challenge of moving forward even as we struggle, and it has become one of the songs that symbolizes this tour.

A rock band from Kyoto, formed in 2017. Vo.Gt.
