Instrumental band toconoma releases high-fashion artwork for their 5th album “ISLAND”!

toconoma has released the jacket arc work for their long-awaited 5th album “ISLAND” to be released on November 6th.

The design was created by guitarist Kotaro Ishibashi. Ishibashi, who also works as an art director and graphic designer, has made fabrics produced in various countries into art pieces that symbolize the virtual ISLAND. The photo was taken by photographer Kana Tarumi. Like the previous album artwork, it was created with the aim of being a “cover that would create a good vibe when displayed at home.” Be sure to get your hands on the CD, which is filled with a lot of details that are unique to physical music.

The visuals for the original bonuses for each shop have also been released, so check them out.

The band’s fifth full-length album, “ISLAND”, which is their first in four years since their previous album “VISTA”, was created in the midst of their lifestyle of balancing work and music activities, which they have continued to do since their formation.

The album title reflects the band’s desire to present to the world Japan’s uniquely emotional musicality set on dance beats. From the title to the artwork, you can feel the unique will of the instrumental band toconoma, which is active worldwide both in Japan and abroad.

“toconoma 5th ALBUM “ISLAND” RELEASE PARTY” will also be held on November 17, 2024 at Shibuya WWW X. Advance tickets for this one sold out on the same day, but you’ll still have the last chance to get tickets on sale to the general public from 10am on October 5th, so don’t miss out.

Just like their latest and fastest single “SignaL,” you can’t take your eyes off toconoma’s accelerating movements.
