Instrumental band toconoma will hold a nationwide tour! Advance distribution of “SODA” from the 5th album “ISLAND” has started!

The instrumental band toconoma, which will release their 5th album “ISLAND” on November 6th, has announced that they will be holding a long-awaited nationwide tour starting in February 2025.

It was announced that the toconoma 5th ALBUM “ISLAND” RELEASE TOUR will be held at five locations nationwide.

JAMMIN’ in Nagoya on February 1st, BIGCAT in Osaka on February 15th, BEAT STATION in Fukuoka on March 8th, MACANA in Sendai on March 29th, and Sapporo on April 26th. It will be held at SPiCE.

Official tickets for the national tour will be available from November 18, 2024. Details will be announced later.

The album release party “toconoma 5th ALBUM ‘ISLAND’ RELEASE PARTY” will be held at Shibuya WWW X on November 17, 2024, but tickets are sold out on the same day.

This song is one of the most impressive on the album with its lyrical melody. Toconoma is an instrumental band without songs, but the J-POP feeling that this song exudes is a special aspect that only they, who produce genre-less music, can express. Their fifth full-length album, “ISLAND,” which is their first in four years since their previous album “VISTA,” was created in the midst of their lifestyle of balancing work and music activities, which they have continued to do since their formation.

The album title reflects the band’s desire to present to the world Japan’s uniquely emotional music over dance beats. You can feel the unique will of the instrumental band toconoma, which is active worldwide both in Japan and abroad, from the title, artwork, and the pre-released song “SODA.”

The artwork was created by guitarist Kotaro Ishibashi. Ishibashi, who also works as an art director and graphic designer, has created art pieces that symbolize the virtual ISLAND using fabrics produced in various countries.
