Singer-songwriter Mao Abe’s 15th anniversary Zepp tour concluded on October 25th at Zepp Namba.

Mao Abe completes 15th anniversary Zepp tour “Everyone’s presence kept me motivated”
The final performance of Abe Mao’s nationwide Zepp tour “15th Anniversary Abe Mao Zepp Live Tour 2024” was held on October 25th at Zepp Namba (OSAKA) in Osaka.
The band will celebrate its debut anniversary on January 21, 2024, entering its 15th anniversary year. The Zepp tour, which followed the release of the new album “NOW” in August and the singing tour “15th Anniversary Abe Mao Solo Live Tour 2024”, will tour Tokyo, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Aichi, and the final stop in Osaka. The first song, “Hands and Dance,” opened with a dramatic beginning that gradually became more dynamic with deep red lights in the background. She was only 19 years old when she greeted and delivered, “I’m back in Osaka!” “Furi” is the title song of her debut album released in 2009. The fresh running feeling remains the same, but the toughness that has been cultivated over the past 15 years is added to the dignified performance, which is met with loud applause. The sight of him shaking his hair and strumming his guitar was undeniably cool, and with sharp and weighty performances in the background, he continued to charm us with “Mada Ikimasu” and “19-Sai no Uta,” as well as the theatrical and glamorous “Marginal Man.” Every song has been refined by the amount of time that has been spent on it, such as “I love you” that resonated on a grand scale, and it is a fulfilling set list that makes you think that they are at their best right now.
“I am very happy that I was able to celebrate my 15th anniversary without stopping my career. Thank you for giving me such a miraculous time! Today is the final, so I want to make sure that I can convey my gratitude to everyone. I want to have fun and play to the fullest before going home, so please enjoy yourself to the fullest.”
After conveying such feelings of gratitude, he continued with “Angel wa Itada”, which has both warmth and sadness, and “Go Away From You”, which is a new frontier with honest feelings written in English lyrics, and continues with songs with English lyrics. Performed the song “Maybe”. The sound of the acoustic guitar being plucked and the sound of the singing voice quietly spreading out was awe-inspiring, and the self-cover of the song “words” for Aimer, which was performed by just the two of us with our supporter Mito Katsuyuki (Key), was performed even though he was not feeling well. Despite interrupting the performance out of concern for the audience, when she resumed singing, the power of her expressions instantly drew you in, leaving you breathless. “Keep Your Fire Burning,” with its impressive smooth slide guitar, was also extremely comfortable, and once again reminded me of his extraordinary talent as a singer and songwriter.
The MC said that since leaving the agency, he has been able to tour with a band, perform one-man live shows, and realized the difficulty and preciousness of putting on a single live performance with many staff members, and added, “Last year was that difficult. That’s right… On the other hand, it’s probably amazing that I was able to do the Zepp tour after being independent for a year and a half, but it’s all thanks to everyone who kept me motivated. So next time, I want to sing with all my heart,” said Abe, who sang “I’ve Got the Power” with passion and determination. The euphoria brought about by the pounding rhythm spread to the sing-along that erupted with “Somebody Else Now,” and furthermore, the Abema-style dance beat “immorality,” and the truly edgy rock tune “Shin ni Tome.” ” but created a highlight by interweaving many songs from their latest album “NOW”.
The climax began with “Playboy,” which was performed lightly with a tambourine in one hand, followed by his signature songs “Motto.” and “Kind Words.” During the final performance, “Lonely,” Zepp Namba (OSAKA) was surrounded by a spectacular view of hands rising as far as the eye could see.
In response to the endless applause, the encore included a rare “Koraigare MY WAY” played on an electric guitar, followed by “I wanna see you” that screamed “I want to see everyone’s smiles!”, and the last song was a deep solo song. He bowed his head and said, “I will continue to do my best to deliver power to everyone.Finally, I would like to perform the song that gave me the opportunity to do it at my own pace for 15 years.I only do it live. It’s a song that I don’t have, but if you like it, please listen to it,” she said, enthusiastically singing “Mother’s Song.” It was a tour final that left an imprint in the minds of those who watched his origins and current location as an artist.
In the future, Mao Abe will appear in two-man live performances with Aina The End and Aya Yamamoto, as well as live performances sponsored by Zoninsha and akkin. On Sunday, January 26, 2025, she will hold a one-man live “Mao Abe Live 2025 -15th ANNIVERSARY- at Tokyo Garden Theater” to conclude the anniversary year at Tokyo Garden Theater in Tokyo.
