Riho Makise’s debut single “Miracle Love” released in 1991 will be released as a clear red 7-inch single on November 3rd, which also happens to be “Record Day 2024.”
The A-side “Miracle Love” is a newly written song written and composed by Mariya Takeuchi, and is attracting hot attention from overseas as a masterpiece of city pop that has been covered by many current artists. The arrangement is by Takeshi Kobayashi.
The AA side “Tomorrow Will Come to Anyone” is a 5th CD single song in 1995, written by Yasushi Akimoto, composed by Takashi Toshimi, and arranged by Satoshi Kadokura. This song was selected by current DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite.JP, and the bass line and especially the uplifting brass arrangement are likely to attract even more attention from DJ youth in the future.
The 2024 version of the MV for “Miracle Love” will start streaming on Pony Canyon’s official YouTube channel from October 30th, the day of Riho Makise’s CD debut. The video production is HOLONIX, the director is Shintaro Shiraiwa, who has worked on many commercials, and the cast is Ai Fukushima and Shinnosuke Kimoto, who are rapidly gaining popularity on TV and the web.

Although times may change, the brilliance of pure love between a man and a woman will still be there in 2024.
I felt once again that Tokyo is a dramatic city that makes the miracle of these two people shine even more, and I expressed it in the music video.
The red turtlenecks worn by the two cast members are an homage to Mr. Makise on the CD jacket at the time.
I hope that it will reach those who know about those days with a sense of nostalgia, and those who are new to it with a sense of freshness.
