Singer-songwriter Mao Abe has announced that she will be releasing her single “Shuru ni Tome” on May 29th, and her 11th original album “NOW” on August 7th.
The new song “Shuru ni ome”, which will be released as a digital single on May 29th, will be used as an image song to commemorate the release of the second volume of the popular manga “Kimi wo forget Koi ga Shitai” currently being serialized in Shueisha’s “Bessatsu Margaret”. A newly written song.
The manga “I Want to Forget You” is a sentimental college love story about a fateful love that cannot be escaped. It was decided that the first volume would be reprinted before its release, and the cumulative circulation of just one volume has already become an unprecedented hit, with 200,000 copies sold. The next breakout work that will be featured on the cover of the June issue of Bessatsu Margaret.
The distribution jacket was newly drawn by author Yuki Yuki for this image song as a special collaboration.

This is their 11th original album, about a year and a half since their previous album “Not Unusual.” The contents of the album will be announced at a later date, but as the title suggests, it will be a work that is full of Mao Abe’s “now” and is suitable for the milestone of her 15th anniversary since her debut.
Abe Mao has announced two solo tours this year, but the solo tour “15th Anniversary Abe Mao Solo Live Tour 2024”, which will tour four locations nationwide from August to September, is already sold out. In October, the Zepp tour “15th Anniversary Abe Mao Zepp Live Tour 2024” will be held at 5 locations nationwide.
