Atsugi City PR video “Let’s live in Atsugi” released
Atsugi City, which focuses on childcare support, has released a promotional video. The video depicts the growth of a newborn baby, incorporating key points in the city (Sagami River, Satoyama, childcare support facilities, etc.).
The music for this video was provided by Emi Nakamura, a singer-songwriter from the same city. She sings about her feelings for the town where she was born and raised, and for the children of the future.
In addition, it has been decided that the full version of the provided song “MICHIKUSA” will be released as a digital single on January 20, 2025! It is a rare case for an artist to release a song created for a local government’s promotional sound source.
Additionally, a one-man live performance at the renovated Atsugi City Cultural Hall has been scheduled for September 6, 2025.

“Music born from living in Atsugi” NakamuraEmi comment
If I lived somewhere else, I’m sure the music and lyrics I would create would be completely different. I believe that the music that has been created because I have lived in Atsugi has become my most unique personality.
As an adult, I realized that being exposed to flowers, insects, and the changes in nature that I took for granted on my way to and from school and playing with friends every day enriched my sensibilities more than I ever imagined. Ta. I feel that living in a place surrounded by nature like Atsugi allows me to relax both mentally and physically and to do my best at work.
I wonder if today’s children, in places like Atsugi where there is so much nature, can roam the streets, see and touch many different things, sometimes fail, and decades later realize that they are treasures. This is a song I thought I might have.
I hope that not only people like me who have lived in Atsugi for a long time, but also people who live in other places, can take a step back and get a feel of what Atsugi is like. I hope I can convey to everyone that Atsugi has the potential to achieve what they want to do.
