MAPPA’s original TV anime “Zenshu” will begin broadcasting on TV Tokyo affiliates and other channels from January 5th. ” opening theme song, BAND-MAID’s “Zen” will begin distribution on January 13th, and the music video for the same song will be premiered on YouTube.
This work, which will be the first single to be released in 2025, is an impressive song with story-like lyrics and a melodious, fast-paced hard rock sound that closely follows the worldview of the anime.
MAPPA is a globally popular anime production studio that produces animations such as “Jujutsu Kaisen”. The music video for this work was filmed at a new office that has just been relocated to Nakano, Tokyo in October 2024, and is part of the TV anime “Zenshu.” The very office where “ is produced will be opened to the public for the first time.
In the newly released music video, in addition to a production that recreates the world view of the anime, the members give an intense performance with their respective instruments in MAPPA’s new office.

The hard rock sound that goes against Maid’s appearance has gained support from fans and media all over the world, and the total number of views on YouTube has exceeded 200 million. YouTube reaction videos from fans around the world have been released one after another, and have been viewed more than 40 million times. They have received support from rock and metal fans, and have become the most popular girl band overseas, with more than 20,000 people attending their US tour in 2022. To date, they have performed world tours almost every year, rocking the stages of major festivals in Japan. To date, they have toured the US, UK, and Europe, recording sold-out performances at each performance.
In 2019, they announced a tour partnership with one of the world’s largest eventers, “Live Nation,” and released the album “Conqueror,” which included production by rock legend Tony Visconti.
