Singer-songwriter Ako (pronounced: Eiko) released her new song “Asa ga Sou Yoru” on January 15th, and a music video and new artist photo were released.
“Morning is Close to Night” is a song that sings of the sadness of remembering past happiness over and over again before dawn, with an urban sound based on house and city pop. With mix engineer Nathan Boddy, who worked on New Jeans’ “Super Shy,” they have established a state-of-the-art sound.
The music video for “Morning is Close to Night” was also released on his YouTube channel. This work was directed by the creative team “londog” led by ako. It contains cool and impressive images that match the worldview of the song, such as dance and band scenes unfolding in a space surrounded by LED screens, and A-ko DJing in a pure white space. A-ko has also decided to hold her biggest tour “a-ko LIVE TOUR 2025 “LOVE PROPHET”” in Tokyo and Osaka starting in January. Tickets are currently being accepted. Be sure to check out the website and SNS so you don’t miss out on a-ko’s live performance.
