Hakubi, a rock band from Kyoto, has released the music video for their new song “Another World (Alt ver.)”.
This song is a bold rearrangement and re-recording of “Another World”, which was produced in the early days of the band’s formation. The result is a solid roaring guitar with a strong influence from shoegaze, and it embodies Hakubi’s appearance as a band that continues to evolve musically, while retaining the feelings contained in the original song. Akinori Yamamoto (LITE) was added to support drums.
The music video was directed by Ryosho Ose (Things.). Filmed in a silver world covered in snow as far as the eye can see, the image conveys the cold and beautiful sound of this song, as well as the lyrics’ theme of the world outside of everyday life and the expansion of that world.
Hakubi is currently on a nationwide tour that started in the fall of 2024, and an additional performance called “Hakubi Tour 2024 “underwater: Depper”” will be held at Shimokitazawa ADRIFT in Tokyo on January 29th. Tickets are now on sale to the general public, so don’t miss out.
