A-ko's first album "GENE" will be released on July 10th, artwork released! There's also an early bonus zine containing liner notes for all songs and newly shot visuals, as well as details on purchase benefits from each shop!

It has been decided that singer-songwriter ako’s (pronounced: Eiko) 1st album “GENE” will be released on July 10th, and the artwork has been released. This is the long-awaited release of Ako’s first full album.

“Atashi no Zen wo Aishinai” was released under the name of an indie in 2023 and attracted attention as the opening theme for the TV Tokyo Drama 24 “Hatsukoi, Zarari”, and the major debut SG “Planet” that received Power Play from 36 AM and FM stations nationwide. A total of 13 songs will be included, including “Good Morning”, “Beige to Momoiro”, “Miss U”, “Tsumaran”, and “Borderline”.

The Blu-ray “MACHINE” will also include a newly shot acoustic live video and a behind-the-scenes behind-the-scenes video of the “SXSW” stage held in Texas, USA in March 2024.

In addition, as an early pre-order bonus for the album, an original zine containing liner notes for all songs that tell the story behind the production and visuals shot specifically for this work was released along with image cuts. You can receive the zine as an early reservation bonus if you pre-order by June 7th. I hope you’re looking forward to seeing what the content will be like.

A first-come, first-served purchase bonus for each store was also announced, using the album artwork and booklet design. The quantity of this bonus is limited, so please reserve early at the CD shop to get the first-come, first-served bonus.

Ako has also decided to hold her biggest tour “Ako Live Tour 2024 “Umbilical Cord”” in Tokyo and Osaka in August, and the Tokyo performance is already sold out. Tickets for the Osaka performance are currently being accepted. Please check the website and SNS and don’t miss Ako’s live performance.
