A-ko has released an acoustic live video of “Wakusei” from the bonus footage of her first album “GENE,” which will be released on July 10th!

Singer-songwriter ako has released an acoustic live video of “Planet” from the Blu-ray bonus video “MACHINE” for her 1st album “GENE” to be released on July 10th on her YouTube channel.

This video was shot in an open room in Los Angeles, USA. It is a simple two-person lineup with a-ko on vocals and an acoustic guitar, creating a sound that makes a-ko’s whisper voice stand out even more. The video has a different atmosphere than the sound source or music video, so please enjoy comparing it.

The first album “GENE” will be released in two formats: CD+Blu-ray and CD only. The Blu-ray “MACHINE” will include acoustic live footage of “Wakusei”, “good morning” and “Borderline”, as well as a documentary of the backstage at “SXSW” held in Texas, USA in March.

The CD will include a total of 13 songs, including “Atashi no Zenbu wo Aiseni” (Can’t Love All of Me), which was released under the indie name in 2023 and attracted attention as the opening theme for TV Tokyo’s Drama 24 “Hatsukoi, Zarari”, her major debut single “Wakusei” (Planet), which was played on 36 AM and FM stations nationwide, and five new songs. This work is a condensed version of A-ko’s worldview, which suggests her upcoming breakthrough.

Ako has also decided to hold her biggest tour “Ako Live Tour 2024 “Umbilical Cord”” in Tokyo and Osaka in August, and the Tokyo performance is already sold out. Tickets for the Osaka performance are currently being accepted.

Singer-songwriter. She began her career as an artist in earnest in 2020. A-ko produces many emotional songs herself. Her creative team, londog, also takes the lead in producing music videos and other works, making her a very diverse group.

In September 2020, they released their first EP “Potential MISTY”, in January 2021 their second EP “ANTI BLUE”, and in December 2023 their third EP “Steal your heart” on their independent label londog. To date, they have released three EPs and 15 singles.

In 2023, a-ko’s first Tokyo-Osaka tour, “a-ko Live Tour 2023 “l’m crazy now, over you”” will be held at Umeda Shangri-La and Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO, with all tickets sold out.

The band will make their major debut in February 2024 with “Wakusei” through Pony Canyon/IRORI Records.

Their 1st album “GENE” will be released on July 10, 2024, and “ako Live Tour 2024 “Umbilical Cord”” will be held in August.
