NEXZ will make their long-awaited Japan debut on Wednesday, August 21st with their first Japan EP, "Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving"!!!

“NEXZ” is a global boy band born from the Japan-Korea joint audition project “Nizi Project Season 2” by JYP and Sony Music.

On May 20th, shortly after making their long-awaited global debut, NEXZ’s first Korean release, “Ride the Vibe,” reached No. 1 on the daily Physical Album Chart and No. 3 on the weekly chart on Korea’s Hanteo Chart.

The music video for their debut song “Ride the Vibe” is a youth ensemble drama that only a band with an average age of 17.4 could express. The emotional visual world, reminiscent of a short film, attracted a lot of attention, achieving over 10 million views on YouTube within three days of its release, and has currently surpassed 31 million views.

The much talked about NEXZ has delivered some long-awaited good news to fans along with their latest visuals.

It has been decided that NEXZ will finally make their Japan debut on Wednesday, August 21st.

The first EP for their Japanese debut will be “Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving.”

First of all, “Ride the Vibe” is a song that symbolizes their “global debut” on May 20th, and is the lead track that became the main focus of their activities in Korea.

During their activities in Korea, they have appeared on many popular Korean music programs such as “M COUNTDOWN,” “MUSIC BANK,” “Show! Music Core,” “Inkigayo,” and “SHOW CHAMPION,” and it is still fresh in people’s memory how they have thoroughly developed “Ride the Vibe” together with their fans.

This is an original NEXZ track that combines elements of Electronica with an Abstract Hip-Hop rhythm. It is what one might call an “Easy-Experimental” track, with a harmonious blend of Lo-Fi and retro analog and digital synthesizer sounds, creating a sensual yet experimental atmosphere.

The key point of the song is the diverse track structure that changes throughout the song, and the message that is conveyed is “Just be drawn to it, let’s ride this vibe with me” amidst the waves of excitement, anxiety, nervousness, and other emotions that can only be felt for the first time.

The newly released “Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.)” was created to convey the worldview of the lyrics of “Ride the Vibe,” which is infused with NEXZ’s identity, more clearly to Japanese listeners.

“Ride the Vibe” has already gained widespread popularity thanks to their activities in Korea and their music videos, and is already on the verge of breaking through. The message in the Japanese lyrics will trigger a sudden boost in Japan, along with unique choreography that expresses the “emotional fluctuations” that are unique to adolescent boys.

Meanwhile, “Keep on Moving” is the song for Aquarius’ new commercial featuring NEXZ, “Beside Those Who Move Forward. Stage,” which is currently airing nationwide in Japan, and is a new song written and produced by JY Park.

As the title suggests, this song expresses the positive feeling of continuing to move forward with light-hearted music, in line with Aquarius’ brand message, “Beside those who move forward.”

This is a fulfilling Japanese debut album that compiles two equally difficult songs that encapsulate the different charms of NEXZ.

It will be released in 10 formats in total: First-run limited edition A comes with a Blu-ray containing various making-of footage; First-run limited edition B includes a booklet titled “NEXZINE” and a bonus track; the regular edition contains only the CD; and the NEX2Y edition (7 versions for each member) which can only be purchased by FANCLUB members.

Of course, all 10 versions will have different visuals, and each version will come with its own special bonuses, including a video, NEXZINE, photo card, mini NEXZ sticker, 4 snapshots of his life, another jacket, and a handwritten letter.

A global boy group consisting of TOMOYA, YU, HARU, SO GEON, SEITA, HYUI and YUKI.

The group was born from JYP and Sony Music’s joint Japanese-Korean audition project “Nizi Project Season 2.”

NEXZ stands for “Next Z(G)eneration.”

The name is named after the letters “N” and “Z” as proof that it was born from “Nizi Project,” and it conveys the message that members who will lead the next generation have come together to deliver new music and performances and usher in a new era.

When announcing the group’s name, JY Park told the members, “We named you this with the hope that you will pave the way for the future together with the new generation.”
