ClariS, the duo unit made up of Clara and Karen, made their major debut in October 2010 with the single “irony” (the opening theme for the TV anime “My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute”). Since then, they have been in charge of many anime theme songs and have released 28 singles, 3 mini-albums, and 7 original albums to date.
In May of this year, ClariS released their 28th single “Andante” (the ending theme for the TV anime “Spice and Wolf MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF”), as well as their first album in about two years, “Iris.” They also performed overseas for the first time in about seven years, successfully wrapping up their first live shows in Japan at AFA Indonesia 2024 in May, Anime Friends 2024 in Brazil in July, and AnimagiC 2024 in Germany in August. However, it was announced today that member Karen will be graduating from ClariS at the end of the live tour “ClariS AUTUMN TOUR 2024” to be held in the fall.

“I am very sorry to have surprised all of you who I love with this sudden announcement. The reason for my graduation is to fulfill another of my dreams, which is to get married and build a warm family like the one I grew up in. Although I only have a little time left as an active member, I would like to convey my gratitude to you all as best I can. I would be grateful to all my fans if you would continue to support me warmly until the end,” (an excerpt) was the comment she released in her own handwritten message.

Along with the big announcement of Karen’s graduation, ClariS also announced that they will be releasing two new works in October, the 14th anniversary of their debut, the mini-album “AUTUMN TRACKS – Autumn Songs” (on sale from 10/16) and the best album “ClariS – SINGLE BEST 2nd -” (on sale from 10/23). Details such as the contents of the album will be announced at a later date.
The live tour “ClariS AUTUMN TOUR 2024” will begin on Saturday, October 26th, the weekend of the release of the best album “ClariS ~SINGLE BEST 2nd~”, visiting three cities (a total of five performances). Today, it was announced that the tour title will be “~Via Fortuna~”, which means “the path of good fortune” in Latin. Member Karen will graduate from the group after this tour, but we hope you will come to the venue to experience the live performance of ClariS, which has continued to evolve as they celebrate their memorable 14th anniversary.

On October 20, 2020, they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their major debut, and caused a big stir when the mysterious ClariS revealed their true faces in their first live stream of their career. On October 21 of the same year, they released two best albums to commemorate their 10th anniversary, “ClariS 10th Anniversary BEST”.
In 2022, they will release their sixth full album, “Parfaitone,” as well as the single “ALIVE,” which became the opening theme for the TV anime “Licorice Recoil.” In addition to their first appearance on the program “ClariS New Chapter,” they also made their first appearance on THE FIRST TAKE, becoming a trending topic and becoming a hot topic.
