SKY-HI, an artist/producer, is the CEO, and BMSG, a management/label that currently belongs to BE:FIRST and MAZZEL, has hosted a girl group audition called “No No” with rapper/singer Chanmina as producer. Music Video for the pre-debut song “Drop” of the seven-member girl group HANA, born from Girls, was released at 10pm on Sunday, February 9th.
This song, released on Friday, January 31st, is also the group review assignment for the final screening of “No No Girls THE FINAL,” and they are just ordinary girls, and they face themselves. This song expresses his strong will to hone himself and accomplish amazing things in the future. Despite the momentum of the audition, the company was ranked number one on the Spotify Japan Trending Chart on February 1st, and also ranked 22nd on Apple Music’s Top 100 chart, making it a big hit despite being still a pre-debut. The MV, which has finally been released, begins with an impressive scene where “No” is displayed when you press the elevator button. The impressive elevator scene throughout this film contains the message that “we are always on the same boat and when we go up and down,” and those around us keep saying “No.” The film depicts the members who were suppressing themselves in the shadows of the sun, which is symbolic of the subway, accelerating on the super express train and jumping out beyond the light. Also noteworthy is the production that is linked to each member’s personality and audition scenes, which are included in each solo scene.

■What is the audition program “No No Girls”?
This audition began with an unprecedented application message saying, “You don’t need height, weight or age. Just show us your voice and life.” Over 7,000 applications were received from countries around the world, not only from within Japan but also from South Korea and the United States.
Producer Chanmina has been given a “No” response to her appearance and voice, and although she aspires to become a girl group, she has never made her debut. The students passed the paperwork and face-to-face screening at this audition and gathered together, just like her, were given a “No” and denied themselves. Based on the guidance and examinations that Chanmina can do, and the “to avoid killing talent,” BMSG aims to lead participants to a girl group that can be active all over the world.
