It has been announced that the second collaboration between MECRE, a creator platform run by Sony Music Entertainment, and VirtuaReal, a V-Tuber project run by Chinese video streaming giant bilibili, will be launched.
“MECRE” is a platform aimed at a new generation of creators created to gather, match and create works, and since its launch in 2021, it has released numerous works through matching between various creators, including ryo (supercell) and TeddyLoid. And now, a large project that crosses the ocean is set to take action again.
The collaboration is scheduled to release a song that will be sung by the two female V-Tubers, Ai Eine and Xiao Kagaku-sister Kero, who belong to “VirtuaReal” on bilibili, a major Chinese video platform, and two songs that will be sung by the three male members Susam, Tocci, and Yogyog.
It has also been announced that two groups will be participating: meiyo, a pop maestro from Reiwa, who has produced numerous buzz songs as Japanese music creators, and SAKURAmoti, who has been in charge of producing the theme song for the TV anime “Urusei Yatsura,” and “Aiue,” which has attracted attention.
The songs will be released in two ways: Japanese version and Chinese version, and other details will be announced at a later date.
What kind of songs will be created by artists of different countries and cultures? I can’t help but look forward to this project, which will be unfolding on a scale that surpasses the previous work.
