Uncredited footage of the ending theme song “You are Kaibutsu” sung by TOOBOE on the TV anime “The Summer of Light Dead” has been released!

A non-credit video of the ending theme song “You wa Kaibutsu” sung by TOOBOE, which was first released in the second episode of the TV anime “The Summer of Light Dead,” has been released on YouTube.

The ending footage, which is woven together by live action and animation, is an emotional work that depicts the relationship between light and Yoshiki during his lifetime, which is not found in the main story. Starting Monday, July 14th, the opening and ending footage will be released in Shinjuku, Tokyo in limited outdoor vision.

TOOBOE’s new song, “You wa Kaibutsu,” will be released in advance on July 20th. It will be released as a CD on August 13th. Furthermore, from September 2025, it has also decided to hold its largest nationwide tour, “The Monster of the End of Summer.” The show began with the Kanagawa performance on September 4th, and then visited 14 cities across the country until Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) on October 5th.

▼Comment by Takeshita Ryohei (Director)

Hikaru from the original story says, “Yoshiki won’t laugh at my weird face!”, but what was Yoshiki like with a funny face?

What I wanted to do was the trigger for my creation.

It was a very emotional song by TOOBOE, and I was happy to be able to depict the relationship between Hikari and Yoshiki during his lifetime that is not in the main story.

▼Mokumokuren (original work) Comment

I think it’s amazing to see the live-action version of the production team’s enthusiasm for location scouting. The reality is amazing that it really makes you feel like the two of them exist.

The song is not only humid, but also somewhat light-hearted, and I think it is a masterpiece that expresses the atmosphere of the work well.

■The first main PV of the summer when light died

■TV anime “Summer where the light died”

©Mokumokuren/KADOKAWA/”Summer where the Light Dead” Production Committee

In a certain village

We’ve grown up together ever since we were young

Yoshiki and Hikari of the same age

The glowing sun

The voice of a bear-clothed cicada sticks to your ears

Ice cream on the way home

We laugh at trivial things

One summer day, the same as usual

“…You’re going to light after all.”

The light disappeared in the mountains six months ago

A week later I came home

Both voice and appearance look like light

What was lurking inside was…

“The light isn’t there anymore… if I do that.”

He begins to walk along with the appearance of a friend,

“The same as usual” everyday life

But at the same time

Strange incidents begin to attack the village

Falls to the unknown “Nanika”

The curtain of a youth horror story is rising now —
