Erika Ikuta's first song "No one compares" MV released!Delicately expresses the heart that cannot move forward

“No one compares” is the first song Ikuta produced during the stay-at-home period during the coronavirus pandemic. It is an impressive piece with Ikuta’s piano playing and delicate vocal expression. The music video, directed by Futoshi Nakazawa, begins with a cut of Ikuta standing at the sea with a sheet of music in hand. Ikuta slurps ramen at a Chinese restaurant, and even though the clothes she’s wearing change, she looks somewhat lonely. In the final scene, Ikuta can be seen singing on the sea illuminated by the beautiful sunset.

On April 10th, the release date of her 1st EP “capriccioso”, a YouTube live will be held on Erika Ikuta’s official YouTube channel. I want to enjoy her memorable solo debut day online live.

“No one compares” is the first song I wrote and composed by myself during the stay-at-home period during the coronavirus pandemic.

I tried to write the lyrics so that you can gently hold onto the contradictory feelings that make you feel pain even when you’re thinking about something important, and the frustration of loving something, without summarizing them too neatly.

I hope that the meaning of “Nothing can compare to you” resonates with the listeners even a little bit.
