Kitani Tatsuya has announced that he will be releasing his new song “Next Episode Preview” on Sunday, April 7th. The cover image for the song has also been released.
“Next Episode Preview” is a song written specifically for the TV anime “Sentai Daishikkaku” as its opening theme. The song expresses the desire to affirm the idea of going off the rails and struggling against the fact that the vision for the future is “predictable”. A sticker picture book-style CD that pays homage to the heroes of the past is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, May 8th, and is currently available for pre-order at various CD shops.
In addition, the lyric video for “Next Episode Preview” will be premiered on Kitani Tatsuya’s official YouTube channel from 17:00 on the same day. The standby screen is now available, so turn on the reminder and look forward to it.
“Sentai Daishikkaku” is a popular serial in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” (published by Kodansha in “Weekly Shonen Magazine”). The original work is by Haruba Negi, who also wrote the popular series “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” which has sold over 20 million copies in total. The director is hit maker Sato Keiichi, who has captivated the world with his high-quality visuals in TV anime such as “TIGER & BUNNY” and “Inuyashiki,” and the production is handled by Yostar Pictures, a popular animation production company that has attracted attention worldwide for its overwhelming visual beauty in the “Arknights” series. The TV anime “Sentai Daishikkaku” is scheduled to air every Sunday at 4:30 pm from April 7th, 2024 on 28 TBS affiliated stations nationwide. In addition, the second PV, which allows you to listen to the opening theme “Next Episode Preview” earlier, is currently available on the Shochiku Anime Channel on YouTube.
Kitani Tatsuya recently announced that he will be holding a nationwide tour “Kitani Tatsuya One Man Tour “ROUNDABOUT”” starting in October, with eight shows in seven cities across Japan, following the sold-out of his first-ever Budokan live performance “Kitani Tatsuya 10th Anniversary Live Kare wa Tenjo Kara Miteru” on May 14th. He started posting songs online in 2014. Around the same time, he also began his career as a composer, providing songs to other artists.
Since around 2020, he has accelerated his activities under the name “Kitani Tatsuya”, and in July 2023, he released “Ao no Sumika”, the opening theme for the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”‘s “Kaitama Tamaori”, and participated in the 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen.
