“NEXZ” is a global boy band born from the Japan-Korea joint audition project “Nizi Project Season 2” by JYP and Sony Music.
On December 18th of last year, the song “Miracle”, written and composed by JY Park and performed at the final stage of the audition, was released as a pre-release song and reached number one on the Oricon Daily Digital Single (single song) rankings dated December 18th, as well as on various music distribution sites such as iTunes, LINE MUSIC, AWA, mu-mo, and Rakuten Music. Furthermore, “Miracle (Korean Ver.)”, which was released at the same time on iTunes, also topped the “K-POP” genre, achieving the remarkable feat of reaching number one for both Japanese and Korean songs.
In addition, the performance video for “Miracle,” which was released at the same time as the song, surpassed 10 million views on YouTube within six days of its release, and has currently been viewed over 17 million times.
Even before her debut, she surprised the world with a major project with daily hydration drink “Aquarius,” a topic that was unusual for a new artist.

On May 13th, the new Aquarius commercial “Beside those who move forward. Stage” will begin airing nationwide. The commercial is the first to feature NEXZ and features the new song “Keep on Moving” written and produced by J.Y. Park.

On the day of their “global debut,” NEXZ will begin streaming their first Korean release, “Ride the Vibe.”
The lead track, “Ride the Vibe,” has reached number one on various music distribution stores including iTunes, Recochoku, mu-mo, and mora, getting off to a strong start.
Meanwhile, NEXZ have been busy with many activities, including a recent SHOWCASE in Korea where the seven members gave their all to show off their seven different charms, and on May 23rd they appeared live on Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN, which broadcasts the latest K-POP charts live every week from Korea, to perform.
Meanwhile, some good news came from South Korea.
Amazingly, NEXZ’s first Korean release, “Ride the Vibe,” reached number one on the daily charts on Korea’s HANTEO charts.
Furthermore, a phenomenon is occurring on YouTube that gives a glimpse of their unstoppable momentum.
The music video for their debut song “Ride the Vibe,” which was released at the same time as the single was released, surpassed 10 million views on YouTube just three days after its release.
The performance video for “Miracle,” the main theme song of “Nizi Project Season 2,” surpassed 10 million views in just six days after its release, an exceptional achievement for a rookie boy group before their debut, but this achievement is even faster than that.
On social media, there have been many enthusiastic posts such as “I was so excited I was in tears”, “An incredible masterpiece”, “These boys are no ordinary guys”, “So stylish”, “It’s a unique and wonderful MV that only the current NEXZ boys could pull off”, and it’s clear that the video is receiving a lot of attention.
NEXZ is the first boy band from JYP in about six years since Stray Kids, and has made their long-awaited global debut. They are currently active in Korea on an extraordinary scale.
Now embarking on their journey as a global boy band with their sights set on the world, the news about them is unlikely to die out anytime soon.

The group was born from JYP and Sony Music’s joint Japanese-Korean audition project “Nizi Project Season 2.”
NEXZ stands for “Next Z(G)eneration.”
The name is named after the letters “N” and “Z” as proof that it was born from “Nizi Project,” and it conveys the message that members who will lead the next generation have come together to deliver new music and performances and usher in a new era.
When announcing the group’s name, JY Park told the members, “We named you this with the hope that you will pave the way for the future together with the new generation.”
On December 18, 2023, “Miracle”, written and composed by JY Park, which was performed at the final stage of the audition, will be released as a pre-release song.
Then on May 20th, they finally made their global debut with their first Korean single album, “Ride the Vibe.”

What is “Nizi Project”?
A joint Japanese-Korean audition project by JYP and Sony Music.
For this project, JYP and Sony Music will jointly handle everything from holding global auditions to casting the members, training, planning, production, and management.
“Nizi Project Season 1” produced NiziU, which appeared on the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen for four consecutive years, won the Japan Record Award for three consecutive years, and performed at the two major domes, Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome, the fastest in history for a female artist.On October 30, 2023, they made their long-awaited Korean debut, winning first place on a local music program and attracting a lot of attention, becoming a national girl group in both name and reality.
Leveraging this track record, “Nizi Project Season 2” aims to create a global boy group. Regional auditions were held in 11 locations, including eight cities in Japan, Los Angeles, New York, and Seoul, South Korea, from mid-March to early May 2022, with more than 10,000 applicants participating.
After going through a process of regional auditions ⇒ training camp in Japan ⇒ training camp in Korea, the global boy band “NEXZ” was born.
