Singer 9Lana (pronounced: Kurana), who is active mainly on TikTok and YouTube, released her first EP “DOLL” today. (Distribution URL:https://9lana.lnk.to/DOLLWN)9Lana is a young artist who announced her major debut on April 19th this year, performing the ending theme for the TV anime “Pokémon.” She is a multi-talented artist who can effortlessly control a variety of singing voices, and her overwhelming strength is her excellent expressiveness, which makes you feel as if the protagonist of the lyrics is truly possessed by her songs.

The debut song “Let me battle”, produced by Giga & TeddyLoid and featuring words by TOPHAMHAT-KYO, has been met with a great response both in Japan and overseas, and the EP is now finally being released. The songs included are “Let me battle”, “Let me battle-Anime Size-“, the first original song “Migi Pocket”, the second single “BALALAIKA” with its impressive Spanish guitar sound, which was the first to reach 1 million views on YouTube, and “GAME”, the first up-tempo song with a 2-step beat and addictive gruff voice, as well as two new songs.

The two new songs that will be added to 9Lana’s album are titled “Mamagoto” and “Itteteyo.” “Mamagoto” was provided by artist/creator Kujira, and is 9Lana’s first chill song, in which she challenges herself with a new “voice” as a singer and actor. “Itteteyo” is a medium pop song with a sound that evokes loneliness and positivity, centered around acoustic guitar, about “the story of a love that ended,” and the feeling that can’t be expressed anywhere else: “If that’s how it ends, you should have told me earlier.” Both are highly anticipated songs. The high level of expressiveness of the songs, sung in different “voices,” will make first-time listeners believe their ears, as they may mistake them for the same person.

The long-awaited music video for the title song, debut song “Let me battle”, was premiered on the 24th (Friday) (URL:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whTcBozYrOo)The illustrations and animations matched the image of the song perfectly, and listeners were excited by the creative nature of the illustrations and animations, leading to many real-time comments from both within Japan and overseas.
