Admires, a young band from Miyagi that is gaining momentum with 18-year-olds, has released a new song based on a novel, “Ao ni Murete”! The cover and video, drawn by illustrator Masaki, have also been released.

Monogatary.com is a novel submission site where users can freely submit “stories” to “topics” given by the site’s management every day, and have fun reacting to them in various ways, such as adding illustrations and comments. The past contest “Monogatary 2019” hosted by the site attracted a lot of attention, such as the birth of “YOASOBI,” a unit that turns novels into music, which has been extremely successful, with their hit song “Idol” reaching number one on the global charts.

“READ” is a collaborative project from “monogatary.com” featuring up-and-coming creators, mainly novelists, artists, and illustrators.

We will be releasing a few original songs and lyric videos based on the novels every month. It goes without saying that the original novels are fascinating, so please enjoy the reinterpretations of the novels by popular artists and creators.

“admires” is a three-piece rock band from Miyagi Prefecture, with 18-year-old vocalist Shinnosuke as the frontman.

This year, he finally moved to Tokyo and began his activities based in Tokyo.

The first single “16-sai” was released while he was still a high school student, using the money he earned from part-time work.
They have already received a great response from eagle-eyed listeners, and are a young band full of freshness and energy that you should definitely listen to right now.

“admires” has turned the novel “Unit Circle, 45 Degree Coordinates” posted on monogatary.com into a song. It re-expresses the story of you, who tries to express the world in a straightforward way, and me, who can only see things in a somewhat cynical way, in my blue summer. Please enjoy listening to the novel and the sound source and comparing them.

What’s more, the artwork and lyric video for this song “Ao ni Murete” was done by popular illustrator “Masamushii”, who creates illustrations for a wide range of music videos, including those for vocaloid producers and singers, bands, VTubers, voice actors and idols.
