Monogatary.com is a novel submission site where users can freely submit “stories” to “topics” given by the site’s management every day, and have fun reacting to them in various ways, such as adding illustrations and comments. The past contest “Monogatary 2019” hosted by the site attracted a lot of attention, such as the birth of “YOASOBI,” a unit that turns novels into music, which has been extremely successful, with their hit song “Idol” reaching number one on the global charts.
We are pleased to announce that a manga music video for the song “Omurice,” based on the grand prize winning entry of the “ReoNa x Kasamura Touta Collaboration Contest” held on monogatary.com this year, will be released at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 30th.
In this project, we called for submissions of stories told from the perspective of the “Omurice” that appears in the lyrics of the new song “Omurice,” which will be released on May 17, 2024, and the grand prize winner was “Kimi Diary” (written by Nishinomura).
The manga music video being released this time is based on the grand prize-winning work and features original illustrations by Fujiwara Haru, who is well-known for winning the grand prize in the Young Artist category of the 90th Chiba Tetsuya Award for “Fish Swimming at Night.”
In addition to songs, “Omurice” has also been recreated in novels and manga.

She sang the character Kanzaki Elsa in the TV anime “Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online” and released the mini-album “ELZA” under the name “Kanzaki Elsa starring ReoNa” in July 2018.
