Monogatary.com is a novel submission site where users can freely submit “stories” to “topics” given by the site’s management every day, and have fun reacting to them in various ways, such as adding illustrations and comments. The past contest “Monogatary 2019” hosted by the site attracted a lot of attention, such as the birth of “YOASOBI,” a unit that turns novels into music, which has been extremely successful, with their hit song “Idol” reaching number one on the global charts.
“READ” is a collaboration project by up-and-coming creators, mainly novelists, artists, and illustrators, originating from “monogatary.com”. We will deliver several original songs and lyric videos based on novels every month. It goes without saying that the original novels are interesting, so please enjoy the reinterpretation of novels by popular artists and creators.
We are now pleased to announce that “READ” has digitally released a new song, “piece of cake,” by the popular group “7co,” which has been selected for playlists on numerous distribution sites and has produced one viral hit after another, today, Wednesday, August 7th.
“7co” is a project launched by producers “RYUJA” and “Nana Ashida”, who have worked on music production for many artists. Their songs have been selected for numerous playlists, such as Spotify’s “RADAR: Early Noise” and “Tokyo Rising”, and Apple Music’s “Breaking: J-Pop”, and each release has become a viral hit.
Now, 7co has released the cute, catchy, gentle and magical song “piece of cake”!
The catchy lyrics are sure to get you humming along as well. It’s a song that you’ll definitely find yourself humming along to once you’ve heard it.
The song was created based on the novel “Eternal Moment,” which was posted on monogatary.com and depicts a mysterious candy tin and the wizards of eternity and moment. In addition, popular illustrator Tsukinami created the artwork and lyric video for the song based on the novel.

This song was released as a collaboration with the new product of the Western confectionery brand “Aoyama Decarb”, whose “collectible cans” have become popular and been featured in many famous media such as “Matsuko’s Unknown World” and “King’s Brunch”.
