Monocon is an annual contest held by monogatary.com. At “Monocon 2023” held last year, we held various projects with the theme of “KAIKO” with the idea of creating a place where many people can come and go through stories = a place of “encounter”. One of the featured projects is the “Monocon 2023 Bungei x monogatary.com Collaboration Award.” This award, which was co-sponsored with the literary magazine “Bungei” published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha and had Akutagawa Prize-winning author Hitomi Kanehara as the selection committee chair, had the highest number of applications at “Monocon 2023.”
And now, the title of the new song produced by YOASOBI, based on the grand prize-winning work “Hakusan Dori Burning Case” (Author: Arutemado), has been decided to be “New me”!
In addition, the book “New me – Bungei x monogatary.com novel collection”, which collects the winning works of the “Monocon 2023 Bungei x monogatary.com collaboration award”, including “Hakusan Street Burning Incident”, will be published by Kawade Shobo on November 11th. It has also been decided that it will be released by Shinsha!
