Thank you very much for submitting many works for Monocon 2024 “GOAT x monogatary.com Literary Award, a project commemorating the publication of the new literary magazine “GOAT”, which was open from August 1st to August 31st.
Out of a total of 753 entries, two works were selected: “I Don’t Need Taste for Letters (by Mikami Takato)”, which won the Grand Prize, and “Chicken Piano (by Haruno Maruyama)”, which received the Selection Committee Chairman’s Special Award. , the full text was published in the first issue of “GOAT”, which will be released from today!

■What is the new literary magazine “GOAT”?
Novel as food for your soul.
GOAT, a new literary magazine published in paper form, was born out of the editorial department’s desire to create a literary magazine that collects novels that we want to read from the bottom of our hearts and that we want everyone to read. The magazine’s name comes from the initials of “Goat,” who loves paper, and “Greatest of All Time.” The idea is to create a paper literary magazine like never before. There is no dividing line between entertainment and pure literature, and the novel is more casual. We will deliver novels that will nourish your soul and simply make you think, “Interesting!” We will also actively go at (= work on) accessible initiatives (barrier-free reading) to meet new readers, and discover creators who are not limited to the world of novels. I would be happy if you could explore new possibilities for novels with me.
