The original soundtrack LP for the film “After the Heat,” directed by Hideaki Yamamoto, the latest work by Takuro Okada, is now on sale. Digital releases are also available from today.

Takuro OkadaTakuro Okada is a musician, producer/arranger/guitarist whose name is now commonly heard in Japan’s alternative scene, working with artists such as Satoko Shibata, Yuuka, and Never Young Beach.
This is the sequel to his previous album “Betsu No Jikan,” which was released in 2022 after the disbandment of “Mori wa Ikiteiru” and defined his talent.
Like air, it is an indispensable sound that blends into the world of the film. The theme music that underpins the entire film changes shape gradually and exists like a minimal ambient piece.
Okada himself plays many instruments, including piano and acoustic guitar, and Matsumaru Kei on saxophone and Chiba Hiroki on double bass, who also participate in his live performances with his band, add layered, perfectly coordinated tones.
With mastering by Okada’s much respected Jim O’Rourke and artwork by Kase Toru, another soundtrack masterpiece has been born.

The previously announced LP has finally been released, with the digital release starting today.
