The album “Mukashi Boku wa Mijime Datta” containing Humbert Humbert’s “Boku no Ohisama”, the theme song for the film “Boku no Ohisama” which was entered in the Cannes Film Festival, has been decided to be released on vinyl! In addition, the soundtrack that Sato Yoshinari composed for the first time as a solo artist will also be released on the same day!

To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the release of Humbert Humbert’s eighth original album, “Once Upon a Time I Was Miserable,” released in 2014, it has been decided that the album will be released on vinyl in a limited first run.
The album includes the theme song of the film “My Sunshine” directed by Okuyama Daishi, which was officially selected for the “Un Certain Regard” section of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, as well as self-covers of “Honmatsu Ladybug” and “Pont Neuf’s Egg,” which were provided to NHK Educational TV’s children’s programs, and covers of the masterpieces left behind by music producer Abe Noboru, “Nani o Kangaeru Nai” and “Oi Oi.” The album was recorded in Nashville with sound producer Tim O’Brien.
In addition, it has been decided that the original soundtrack for the film “My Sun,” produced by Yoshinari Sato, will be released on the same day.
The film’s musical background is an original piece written by Yoshinari Sato to match the beautiful images captured by director Okuyama, as well as Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” which plays impressively throughout the film, making it a diverse and varied musical work.
