The live music venue “TOKIO TOKYO” has launched the label management “10002”. The first artist to be released is “baboon”, who has just released their first single “Yume to Machi-to”.

baboonTOKIO TOKYO, a live music venue based in Shibuya, has launched a label management business called 10002 (Ichimanni).
“10002” is a label that distributes alternative music from Room 102, the office of HYPE Inc., the operator of “TOKIO TOKYO.”
We will create and release works together with fresh artists who have never released music before.

The first artist to be announced is singer-songwriter “baboon,” who released his first single, “Yume to Machi-to.”
“Dreams and Streetlights” starts off with an ensemble of sounds that suggests the beginning of something new, then changes completely to a medium ballad with an unstable rhythm and unrefined bass sound, singing the straightforward lyrics, “Ah, will my heart change tomorrow? Let’s sleep for now.”

Currently, “10002” is producing songs with baboon and three other artists.
All artists are scheduled to release music by the end of the year.

Nice to meet you, my name is baboon.
I’m once again grateful to everyone around me for helping me make it to the release of my first single, “Yume to Machito.”

This song is a remake of a song I wrote a few years ago, but I think I was able to create something that I like now while still keeping the original characteristics. When I listen to it, there are more and more parts that I want to tweak. (laughs)

Anyway, this song is really ephemeral.
It feels shaky and like it might collapse at any moment.
I believe that one day, this instability will become a salvation for both my listeners and for myself.
