The “Ghibli Set” series, in which DJ DAISHI DANCE rearranges famous Ghibli film songs into HOUSE MUSIC, is still a long-selling hit both in Japan and overseas.
It has now been revealed through a leak from Studio Ghibli himself that the new film, “The Ghibli Set 3,” will be released this fall, its first in 11 years.
Details such as the songs included in the album and the participating artists are unknown, but a tentative cover photo for “the Ghibli set 3” has already been released, and it has been decided that the first advance single, “Castle in the Sky / Carrying You (PIANO instrumental MIX)”, will be released digitally from July 24th. The artwork, which has a real Laputa-like worldview (which raises questions about the filming location), has also been revealed.
Featuring former label mate PAX JAPONICA GROOVE, this dramatic and grand instrumental track does not disappoint with its piano and strings.
In addition, DAISHI DANCE’s first album “the PIANO set” (SPECIAL EDITION) and second original album “MELODIES MELODIES”, which had been out of print, are now available for digital download as reissues starting today.

DJ/Producer based in Sapporo.
From TRIBAL, 90s OLDSCHOOL, PIANO HOUSE to massive HOUSE, DAISHI DANCE creates intense peak times and a sense of unity on the dance floor with a unique play style that crosses various genres using four CDJs. As a producer, he is known for producing melodious songs centered on piano and strings, and since his simultaneous debut in Japan and Korea with “the PIANO set” in 2006, he has released many albums at a high pace, recording cumulative album sales of over 1 million copies. Among them, the album “the Ghibli set” series, which features house covers of famous songs from Studio Ghibli works, became an exceptional big hit and an astonishingly long-selling album, making the name of DAISHI DANCE widely known beyond the framework of the club scene. Another major feature is his unique melancholy melody and collaboration with traditional Japanese instruments. He is also active in producing and collaborating with various artists both in Japan and overseas, releasing songs from international labels and remixing popular overseas artists. In addition to J-POP artists, he has also produced many songs for KPOP and overseas artists, such as BIGBANG’s representative songs Haru Haru and MY HEAVEN. In addition, he provides music for the art works of the digital art group “teamLab” that utilizes the latest technology, and uses YouTube to broadcast special DJs from POWERSPOTs nationwide as a DJ, cinematographer, and editing producer.
