Teikoku Kissa has released the music video for their new song “Nantokaku,” which was released on Wednesday, July 3rd.
The song was written and composed by Takuto Sugisaki (drums), and contains the message, “When nothing you do goes right, and you don’t know why you’re feeling so down, I hope that listening to this song will make you feel a little better.”
The video was directed by up-and-coming young filmmaker Takagi Mito, who is teaming up with Teikoku Kissa for the fifth time.
Inspired by a cat in the illustration on the jacket drawn by member Akri (Gt), the album depicts the four members spending their leisurely daily lives in one house from the cat’s perspective.
Also pay attention to how the members’ expressions gradually become brighter as the song progresses into the second half.
Teikoku Kissa is currently carrying out a special project unique to Teikoku Kissa, which has three melody makers among its members: releasing singles written and composed by Sugiura Yuki (Gt.Vo), Hikita Akira (Ba), and Sugisaki Takuto (Dr) for three consecutive months on July 3rd (Wed), August 6th (Tue), and September 6th (Fri). The project will also hold the Monthly Live 2024 “LOVE & PEACE & MUSIC IN OUR NEW WORLD” at Shinsaibashi Music Club JANUS.
The second release will be a new song written and composed by Sugiura Yuki (Gt.Vo) on Tuesday, August 6th, so please look forward to further news.
After the monthly live shows and summer festivals, the band will be holding their solo tour 2024 “Let’s go and welcome the light under the sky with you” in October, visiting a total of nine locations including Zepp.
