androp has announced that they will release a new single, “Massara feat. Inoue Ryuma (SHE’S),” featuring SHE’S vocalist Inoue Ryuma, on August 28th.
The two have played together many times and are close friends not only as a band but also among the individual members, but the collaboration with Ryuma Inoue came to fruition just as androp was celebrating its 15th anniversary.
Uchizawa and Inoue co-wrote the lyrics with the desire to convey the importance of not being afraid of remaining incomplete, accepting yourself as you are, and moving forward.
The two vocalists exchange light-heartedly, and the addition of brass gives the sound a more glamorous feel.
It’s an endlessly positive and endlessly pop song that will truly color the 15th anniversary year.
Please enjoy this collaboration between these two groups who are moving forward with positivity along with the music.
In commemoration of the release of this song, the “#ShizuDrop” campaign starts today.
Choose a song from androp or SHE’S that you would like to recommend to each other’s listeners or a song that you would like to recommend to a special person, and post it on X (formerly Twitter) with the subscription service link and the hashtag “#ShizuDrop.”
Five people who submit entries will be chosen at random to receive a “Massara LP-sized jacket (with lyrics)” autographed by androp members and Ryuma Inoue (SHE’S).
This is a rare, one-time gift, so please come along and participate.
[Comment from Takahito Uchizawa (androp)]
With “Massara,” I hope people will realize the importance of believing in themselves, even when facing anxiety and criticism.
I hope that this song, which I created together with Ryuma Inoue from SHE’S, will touch your heart and help you imagine the future together.
[Comment from Ryuma Inoue (SHE’S)]
“Where should we go while this is still incomplete?”
When I received the one-chorus demo from Uchizawa-san, I was really excited by this opening phrase. No matter how far you go, you’ll never be perfect, but enjoying the journey is what life is all about.

[SHE’S Profile]
A piano rock band whose members are all from Osaka. After being finalists in the Senko Riot competition in 2012, their high level of musicality garnered attention, and they made their major debut in June 2016. With the piano played by Ryuma Inoue, who writes all of their songs, at the center, they exude a grandiose and overwhelming presence, from emotional rock sounds to heart-grabbing ballads.
The year 2021 marked the 10th anniversary of the band’s formation and the 5th anniversary of their major debut, and the following February 2022 they successfully held their first solo concert at the Budokan.
Since then, they have continued to perform spectacular live shows with a wide range of expression, including large-scale live house tours, hall performances accompanied by orchestras, and performances at Billboard Live.
The group is scheduled to hold their first solo overseas concert in Taiwan in September 2024. They also plan to release their seventh album, “Memories,” and hold a nationwide tour.
