soraya 1st Album Release Live “Yutopia is there” Encore broadcast

In response to overwhelming popularity, we have decided to offer an encore stream of the live footage from soraya 1st Album Release Live “Yutopia wa Soko ni”, which was held in March 2024 to commemorate the release of her first album, “soraya”!

They will be performing live versions of all the songs on this album, including the album’s lead song “Kaze no Naka de,” which made it into the Top 10 of the J-WAVE TOKIO HOT100, and “Yutopia,” the song that gives the concert its title.
Enjoy Soraya’s first solo live show at Kinema Club, where she will perform a band set, a duo set, and different arrangements each time.
Among the cover songs they performed were “Signs of Love,” which is also included on the album, and “Ano Subarashii Ai wo One More Time,” which was also paid tribute to in the currently-showing film “Tonovan: Musician Kazuhiko Kato and His Times,” in which Ishikawa stars.
The live audio was recorded and mixed by Toshihiko Kasai, who also handled the recording and mixing of the album “Soraya.”
The lighting for the live performance was handled by Hirayama Kazuhiro, and the video was shot and edited by Watanabe Kohei, who also shot Soraya’s key visuals.
It brings back memories of a wonderful night.

soraya

A unit consisting of pianist and composer Kento Tsubosaka and bassist and vocalist Beni Ishikawa, who deliver pop music that can be shared across countries and generations. They began their activities in 2022 with the release of their first single, “Hitori/Chiisaku Sayonara wo”. Kento Tsubosaka’s unique and stateless songs, the delicate and tasteful sound centered on the piano, and Beni Ishikawa’s unique singing voice and bass playing while playing the double bass connect people to the primitive charm of music. In March of this year, they released their first album, “soraya”. The lead song “Kaze no Naka de” ranked 6th on the J-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100. They are also well-known for their live performances that feature different arrangements at each venue, and at the record release live held at Tokyo Kinema Club, they received positive reviews for their band set consisting of piano and bass as well as marimba, percussion, and wind instruments. Ishikawa from Soraya will appear in the documentary film “Tonovan: Musician Kazuhiko Kato and His Era” which will be released on May 31st, and will also participate in a new recording of the classic song “Ano Subarashii Ai wo Mouichido”. Both Tsubosaka and Ishikawa have released solo works on the prestigious jazz label VERVE, and are artists who have attracted attention from around the world.
