EMPUTEI will be holding a two-man event “SESSIONS (tokyo)” at Shibuya WWW on Tuesday, November 26th!

Formed in Nagoya in 2020 by three members, Okunaka Koichiro (vocals & guitar), Hishijima Kunikazu (guitar), and Ishijima Kazutaka (keyboard), and currently based in Tokyo, with new members Kamiya Yukihiro (drums) and Akatsuka Shun (bass), EMPUTEI has been making waves in the Nagoya and Tokyo indie scenes with their dreamy, swaying indie rock sound and literary lyrics. They have announced that they will be holding a two-man event, “SESSIONS (tokyo)”, at Shibuya WWW on Tuesday, November 26th.

Today, Thursday, August 29th, they held a solo concert at Nagoya KD Japan as the kickoff event for “SESSIONS,” and have now announced that the same event will be held at Shibuya WWW on Tuesday, November 26th as “SESSIONS (tokyo).”
The event will be a two-man event, with the opposing band to be announced at a later date.
Official advance ticket sales will begin at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29th.

The band was formed in Nagoya in 2020 by Koichiro Okunaka (vocals & guitar), Kunikazu Hishijima (guitar), and Kazutaka Ishijima (keyboard). In December 2023, Yukihiro Kamiya (drums) and Shun Akatsuka (bass) joined the band, and the band is currently active with a dreamy, swaying indie rock sound and literary lyrics.
In September 2020, she released her first self-produced single “Concrete Room,” followed by her second self-produced single “Sweet Child / Slumber” in December of the same year. In June 2021, she released her first live recording, “IZU SESSIONS.” In September of the same year, she released the five-song EP “chorus.”
Their first full album “QUIET FRIENDS”, released in November 2022, was selected as Tower Recommendation for December of the same year, and was also selected for TOWER TOKAI NEXT FUTURE, which TOWER RECORDS promotes artists in the Tokai region. Both their first solo performances in Tokyo and Nagoya were sold out. They will release their second album “TIME” on March 13, 2024.
