MONO NO AWARE’s new album “The Buffet”, released on Wednesday June 5th, has been met with high praise all around the country, and the album release tour, including additional shows, has been SOLD OUT in every location. They have now announced details of an additional show to be held in Hachijojima on Saturday November 16th.
Hachijojima, where the additional performances will be held, is the hometown of Shuhei Tamaki (Vo, G) and Seiju Kato (G).
The event will be held at the live house POT HALL on Hachijojima.
The event will be divided into two parts: Part 1 (OPEN 14:00/START 14:30) and Part 2 (OPEN 18:00/START 18:30).
Official advance ticket sales will begin on Thursday, August 29th.
The band also released the full version of the music video for “Kamukamoshikanidomokamo! (imai remix),” which was digitally released on Wednesday, July 31st.
“Kamukamo Shikani Domokamo!” is a song written by “MONO NO AWARE” for NHK Minna no Uta in October 2019, with the theme of tongue twisters. The remix of this work was done by “imai”, the track manager of the electro duo “group_inou”, who has been revived for the first time in about 8 years.
The video direction and animation are by visual artist Mugi Hashimoto, and the artwork is by graphic designer Tetsuo Suzuki.

Tamaki Shuhei and Kato Seiju, both from Hachijojima, Tokyo, met Takeda Ayako and Yanagisawa Yutaka at university.
As a result, even though they are in the pop arena, they produce a free sound that is not bound by genre or domestic or international boundaries, with a sound that hints at a diverse background, melody lines that defy expectations, and lyrics that are full of wordplay.
They were voted to perform on the main stage at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL ’16 “ROOKIE A GO-GO” the following year, and have since appeared at numerous festivals around Japan, garnering attention as a next-generation band.
In March 2017, he released his first album, “Life, Mountains and Valleys,” nationwide. In August 2018, he released his second album, “AHA.” In October 2019, he released his third album, “Kakegaenai Mono,” which includes the songs “Kamukamo Shikamonidomo Kamo!” and “A・I・A・O・U,” the theme song for the movie version of “Sinking Family,” which he wrote for NHK Minna no Uta. In June 2021, he released his fourth album, “Gyoretsu no Dekiru Hakobune,” which includes the theme song “Zoccon” for the animated film “Umibe no Etranze.” In April 2022, he wrote the ending theme song “Ajimi” for the new gourmet drama “Share Suru La! Instant Ramen Arrangement Club Hajimemashita” that will air on BS-TBS. In May 2023, he released a cover of “Oyoge! Taiyaki-kun,” and in June of the same year, he released the single “Kaze no Mikage ga Kawatte.” In June 2024, they will release their first new album in about three years, “The Buffet,” and hold a nationwide tour.
