This is the (too belated) first album from Kyoko Onoda, who is active both in Japan and abroad as a composer, arranger and pianist.
The album was produced by Jiro Yoshida, a New York-based jazz guitarist who is active around the world.
The recording members included many talented New York musicians, including Randy Brecker and Yoshida’s close friends.
The 13 songs, which range from originals by Onoda and Yoshida to jazz standards and famous Japanese songs, are enough to showcase Onoda’s unknown talent to the world.

Kyoko Onoda
He started playing piano at the age of 7 and composing at the age of 10. He graduated from the Composition Department of Osaka College of Music.
While still a student, he began working both in Japan and overseas as an arranger and pianist, from recording to live performance support member. As the pianist for the Latin jazz band Ajims, he has also appeared at numerous music festivals overseas.
He has also worked on film music, providing music for the SMAP x SMAP commercial and animated picture books published by Shogakukan, and his skills as a composer are highly regarded.
In 2019 and 2020, he will record with the Prague City Philharmonic in the Czech Republic as a full orchestra arranger/pianist at Dvorak Hall.
Currently a lecturer at Osaka University of Arts and Osaka Junior College.
