The new band “brkfstblend”, which started last year, has released their first new song in 3 months, “nyc”!

brkfstblend, the band consisting of Michael Kaneko x Keity (ex. LUCKY TAPES) x Tetsuji Kasuya (ex. Yogee New Waves), released their 4th single “nyc” on Wednesday, May 1st.

Starting with a unique guitar riff and light percussion, this song is reminiscent of American classic rock from the 1970s, but has a unique sound with a modern twist.
The lyrics were written by Michael Kaneko, and the song expresses the struggles of a young man living in New York as a satire on modern society.

brkfstblend will be hosting an event at Tokyo Gakugei University C/NE next week, May 6th (Monday), and they are planning to be active this year, so please listen to the new song released today and look forward to more updates. I want you to wait.

Formed in summer 2023. A band consisting of singer-songwriter Michael Kaneko, former LUCKY TAPES bassist Keity, and former Yogee New Waves drummer Tetsuji Kasuya.
Although it has only been 6 months since its formation, the group continues to be active, touring 10 locations across Japan.
The music is centered around American AOR from the 70’s and 80’s, with their own essence added to create a new yet somewhat nostalgic sound.
