Musician Takuro Okada is a producer/arranger/guitarist whose name is now often heard in Japan’s alternative scene, including Satoko Shibata, Yuga, and Never Young Beach.
This work follows his previous work “Betsu No Jikan”, which was released in 2022 after the disbandment of “Mori wa Akiru Iru” and was the album that defined his talent.
Like the air, the sound blends into the world of the film, yet is indispensable.
The theme song that underpins the entire film slowly changes shape, existing like a minimal ambient piece.
Okada himself plays many instruments such as the piano and acoustic guitar, and the saxophone player Ki Matsumaru and double bass player Hiroki Chiba, who also participate in his live band, create harmonious tones.
Mastering by Jim O’Rourke, whom Okada admires, and including artwork by Toru Kase, another masterpiece of a soundtrack has been created.
