Andymori is a three-piece band that formed in the fall of 2007, and since releasing their first EP in October 2008, have continued to garner overwhelming support from music fans with their numerous hit songs and captivating live performances.
It has now been decided that all five of the original albums they released in the short seven years before their breakup will be released on vinyl.
Although the band itself disbanded after their first solo concert at Nippon Budokan on October 15, 2014, even now, 10 years after their disbandment, there is still a stream of bands and artists who publicly declare their respect for andymori and the influence they have had on them.In addition, triggered by reels on their official SNS account launched at the end of 2023 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of their CD debut, the song “Sugoi Sokusa”, from their first album “andymori” in 2009, became a viral hit earlier this year.
The song has been in the top 10 of Billboard Japan’s “TikTok Weekly Top 20” chart for six consecutive weeks, and has been played over 300 million times on TikTok, so despite being a 15-year-old song, it is currently creating a huge buzz and attracting new listeners.
There had been many requests for vinyl versions of andymori’s works ever since the band was active, but this is the first time that the four works other than the third album have been released on vinyl.
All titles have been remastered in Japan and will be delivered in high-quality sound with cutting by world-renowned master Bernie Grundman.
The analog record is scheduled to be released in three parts.
Firstly, their first album “andymori” will be released on Wednesday, August 21st, followed by their second album “Fanfare and Enthusiasm” and third album “Revolution/Brothers” on Wednesday, September 18th, and finally their fourth album “Hikari” and fifth album “The End of the Universe is Right in Front of Our Eyes” on Tuesday, October 15th, exactly 10 years since their disbandment, each in a limited edition.
Additionally, member Oyamada Sohei recently completed a nationwide tour at Zepp Namba in support of his second solo album, “Toki wo Kakeru Melody.”
Fujiwara Hiroshi and Okayama Kenji are also continuing to be active, supporting various artists including Gin Nang BOYZ and performing solo.

[Andymori Profile]
A three-piece band consisting of Sohei Oyamada (vocals, guitar), Hiroshi Fujiwara (bass), and Kenji Okayama (drums). Formed in Tokyo in the fall of 2007, they perform live mainly in Kichijoji. In 2008, they released their first EP, “Andy and Rock and Bengal Tiger and Whisky.”
Despite being a completely unknown band, they received a great response from core music fans. In February 2009, they released their first album, “Andymori.” With lyrics that capture the music from a unique perspective, an edgy and explosive sound that explodes with energy, and a nostalgic yet solid melody, they burst onto the scene. The following February, 2010, they released their second album, “Fanfare to Enthusiasm,” which won the “3rd CD Shop Award.” During their first solo live performance at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, which was the final performance of their Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka solo tour in the fall, it was announced that Goto Taiki would be leaving the band. After Okayama Kenji joined in December, they immediately recorded their third album, “Kakumei,” and released it in June 2011. It became a hot topic as an innovative work that radically approaches humanity with simple words, and became an unusually long-running hit. In March 2012, they held a Zepp tour with seven shows in six cities across Japan, and released their fourth album “Hikari” in May. However, the following year they suddenly announced their disbandment.
Then in June they released their fifth album, “The End of the Universe is Right in Front of Our Eyes.”
In July 2014, he held a solo concert “Andymori Solo Contrails and the Sounds of Summer”.
They appeared at four live events in August, and were scheduled to disband with their final performance being at “SWEET LOVE SHOWER 2014” on August 29th. However, right on stage, one of the members suddenly said, “Let’s do one more live performance,” and after discussing it after the show, they quickly decided to do one more live performance as andymori.
The group disbanded after their “andymori last live” performance at Nippon Budokan on October 15th.
