“The BLUE HAPPY FESTIVAL 2024” was held for the first time on October 17th at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa. The festival is a charity festival born from “Blue Mac Day.” “Blue Mac Day” is a campaign held at McDonald’s stores nationwide (excluding some stores) to support the McDonald’s House, a lodging facility for children facing illness and their families. charity activities. This year’s “Blue Mac Day” is October 20th (Sunday), and on this day McDonald’s drink cups, takeout bags, and store decorations will be dyed blue. Additionally, for every purchase of a Happy Set, 50 yen will be donated to the operation of the Ronald McDonald House, a lodging facility for children facing illness and their families. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be donated in the same way.
Before the performance began, the approximately 9,000 audience members who filled the venue prepared the blue penlights that had been distributed to them and engaged in conversation. I was anxiously waiting for the festival to start.
In order to enliven “The BLUE HAPPY FESTIVAL 2024”, 9-member “main dancer & backing vocalist” group Cho Tokkyu and Korean boy group RIIZE will perform live. Furthermore, the music unit MyM, consisting of Morisanchu, Miyuki Oshima, and Gambareruya, who appeared as MCs, also graced the stage.
First of all, the super express live performance starts. When the monitor on the stage went up and the members appeared, the venue was filled with loud cheers. After the excitement was set at once with cool and powerful songs such as “Steal a Kiss,” “KNOCK U DOWN,” and “Spice,” the students greeted each other by saying, “Are you having fun? We are the Super Express!” introduction. Kai said, “For now, I would like you to become Car No. 8 (fan name for Super Express). I will call out to you, so if you think it is Car No. 8, please respond as much as you can.” Huh!” Kai shouted, and the audience responded loudly.
After getting the audience even more excited with “Dance Dance Dancing!” and “Secret Express,” they moved on to “My Buddy,” where the audience could enjoy dancing along with them. Kai said, “I’m going to teach you some hand gestures, so I hope you try imitating them,” and Takuya gives a lecture on hand gestures. When the song started, everyone in the room was having fun, showing a comfortable sense of unity. And at the end, there was a huge uproar with “Battaman,” which can be called “THE Super Express.” They left the stage in a festive mood.
When the talk part began, MCs Moeka Amemiya and MyM appeared. In addition, the members of Chotonkyukyu appeared on stage again and said, “It was a lot of fun. Thank you to Car No. 8, MyM fans, and BRIIZE (RIIZE’s fan name) for making it so exciting.” (Kai) “ I was happy that everyone came along for the ride, even though there were many people who were seeing it for the first time.” (Ryoga) looking back on the live performance. There’s also a VTR of the Super Express’ visit to the “Ronald McDonald House.” “Everyone using the train was cheerful, so it was a place where you could get a lot of energy” (Takashi), “The super express belongs to EBiDAN, and its activities are centered around Ebisu. I’m doing volunteer work to clean up the area,” said Masahiro, who enjoyed the talk.
The next performance was RIIZE. First, let’s start the engine with “Impossible”. When they shouted “Let’s go!”, the venue was filled with loud cheers as if in response.
Along the way, there was also a part where they performed Japanese songs such as “Lucky”, “Same Key”, “Love 119 (Japanese Ver.)”, and “Be My Next”. The audience was captivated by the members’ beautiful singing voices, dancing, and rapping. Here is a recent update on our activities in Japan. “All of the activities were fun, but the SUMMER SONIC stage left an impression on me.The atmosphere at the outdoor stage in Osaka was really hot,” said SOHEE, expressing her impressions of her activities in Japan. Then, a warm applause was sent from the venue.
After that, they continued to perform groovy and sophisticated songs that conveyed the quality of their performance. The audience sways their bodies comfortably. And finally, “Boom Boom Bass” is the title song of the package album that will be released in Japan on October 19th. Cheers arose from the venue, and the concert ended with great enthusiasm.
At this point, Amemiya and MyM appeared, and it was time for the talk part…but then it was time for MyM’s performance. In their 1st single “ASOBOZE”, they show off their cool rapping, singing, and dancing. They finished the performance with smiles on their faces, saying, “Everyone at the venue was so kind!” (Miyuki), “Everyone made eye contact with me and got me excited.” (Yoshiko), “It’s really warm. Thank you for making the board as well.” “(Mahiru), they each expressed their thoughts.
This stage includes a set that recreates a McDonald’s store. The members of RIIZE appeared there. The McDonald’s commercial “Blue Donation Box” in which they appeared was screened, and they said, “I think we’ve made a wonderful commercial. We recorded it in Korea, and we got feedback that our voices were great, so we’ll do our best.” It was great,” (SHOTARO) and “I felt like my heart was really enriched” (SOHEE). In addition, a video of the making of the commercial was shown, and a special moment passed.
At the end, everyone gathered on stage, including the super express, wearing original festival goods. After taking a commemorative photo, Super Express RYOGA said, “We hope that everyone who rides the Super Express, even if it’s just for one leg, will participate in “Blue Mac Day.” Also, Smile is free. Please smile every day!” RIIZE SHOTARO concluded the festival with the message, “Let’s all make Blue Mac Day a success! Thank you for today.”
