I thought Japan’s unique pachinko culture was interesting. As usual, I had fun playing around with MATZ and created a song by sampling it. Together with Zuma-kun, we created a melody and added a song to it. This song was born out of that sense of fun, but the three of us created a special and addictive song. Matt brought the theme of pachinko to me, and I was trying to figure out how to sublimate it into music in a cool way, and through some trial and error, I tried to make it fun as an extension of the game. I got the idea to create a beat from the melody in the Umi Monogatari machine, and I think I came up with a great song!
