nego releases collaboration work with poet toto “Gaudi feat. toto”

Nego celebrated its 15th anniversary last year. “Gaudi feat. toto”, which was performed for the first time at the “nego 15th anniversary live” held to commemorate the event and became a hot topic, has been decided to be released.

“Gaudi” is an instrumental song included in nego’s 4-song EP released in 2017, and toto’s lyrics give it a new interpretation, making it a clearer, more epic song.

Nego and toto also co-wrote “Hello World”, which is included in nego’s 3rd album “THE WORLD”, and this is their second album together.

In addition, nego is currently working on their fourth full-length album, centered around the newly released “Gaudi feat. toto,” and plans to release it soon.

“Gaudi” is a song released in 2017, but the original material was created about 10 years ago.

As a nego song, it has a lot of twists and turns, and it speeds up in the middle, but toto did a great job of adding the lyrics to it, and I was very moved when it was completed.

It was performed for the first time at last year’s 15th anniversary live show, and after Toto finished singing, several fans wearing Nego merchandise gathered around Toto, making his favorite song even more beautiful. I was moved again when I heard that they expressed their gratitude.

I have yet to be surrounded by multiple fans wearing Nego merchandise, but I dream of being able to be in that scene someday. Surely someday! (I think it’s a good piece, so please give it a listen.)

Contribution to GAUDI release

Searching for words in nego’s music is a free and grand adventure.

After finishing my previous work “hello world”

I must have gotten used to its grandeur.

When you face “GAUDI”, you realize how big the world is.

I turned my first inspiration into a small story

Immerse yourself in the story, lie down and run around…

After I became familiar with the song, I recorded it with some improvisation.

It took a long time, but the place we ended up in was a very beautiful and special place.

I’m really grateful that I was able to take the time to create this song.

Words that cannot be sung, silently repeating in someone’s heart.

The rustle in the trees, the distant thunder you hear by chance, the humming that suddenly spills out.

At that moment when I faced the beauty of this world in amazement,

Something that takes us on a journey through time, like a broom star.

I made this with the hope that even a little bit of that sparkle would reach you.

Formed in 2008. The group consists of ΣKIYM (violin), Mitchell (video), Kazheadrock (bass), and Gan (guitar, tabla). Started traveling repeatedly from the age of 19. Traveled to France following the French circus ZINGARO.

In New York, he hangs a recorder around his neck and repeatedly interviews people around town to create a zine. She becomes obsessed with people, towns, movies, and the circus.

After returning from a long trip, he participated in the SSWS (Shinjuku Spoken Words Slam) and started his activities with HIPHOPBAND “SUIKA”, releasing 5 albums. She continues to hold the famous event “Suika Night Story” sponsored by SUIKA, and is strongly attracted to her improvisational style.

He has also released albums under the toto solo name and toto and GOMESS. In recent years, he has continued to perform impromptu live performances with various performers, finding the beginnings of stories in everyday life and opening doors together with the audience. He conducts commercial narrations, read-aloud plays, picture-story shows, and workshops for both children and adults to use words to create a comfortable space in their own hearts.

He has participated in the works of many performers. In nego’s works, he spins his words while feeling the joy of the moment when music is born, and he also participates in live performances.
