The attention-grabbing flower event “TOYOTA FLOWER” will be held again this year! First landing in Kanazawa on May 26th!

STARBASE Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation have launched a project called “Drive Your Teenage Dreams.” (hereinafter referred to as DYTD) to create new ways to enjoy cars. One of the projects within DYTD, “TOYOTA FLOWER,” will be held at Kanazawa FORUS on May 26th.

This project, now in its sixth year since its first event at Shibuya Parco, is an effort to convey to the younger generation the beauty of flowers and the custom of giving bouquets as gifts in Japan, where giving bouquets is not a common practice.

This initiative, in which participants travel around the country in a matte black Hiace van decorated with flowers and give out bouquets, is gaining more attention with each passing event.

In addition, the flower arrangements were made by Emi Shinozaki of edenworks, who collaborates with numerous artists and displays in department stores, and the wrapping paper that wraps the bouquets is printed with photos taken by Jiro Konami, a world-renowned photographer. This is one of the attractions of this project.

We hope that you will come to the venue, share small daily happiness and gratitude through bouquets, and feel the joy and warmth of giving bouquets.

■What is Drive Your Teenage Dreams?

“Drive Your Teenage Dreams.” is a project launched by STARBASE Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation to create new ways to enjoy cars. Toyota’s new challenge is how it can be accepted by the culture of the younger generation. “A car is a toy, and a car is a secret base.” Without being bound by preconceived notions, we will create fun places and moments where cars can be fun, and bring together people who want to have fun with cars. This is the kind of thought that is put into it. At the center of the project is a customized matte black Hiace. This Hiace, which expands the possibilities for enjoyment, has been customized with care for the momentary feeling of being “cool” the moment you see it, without thinking about the reason behind it. The existence of this Hiace sparked various cultural projects.
