The dance movie of TOYOTA HIACE DANCE SESSION by RIEHATA and &TEAM’s K has been released!

A dance session video between RIEHATA, a world-famous dancer who has choreographed for BTS, Chris Brown, and others, and K, a member of the currently popular global group &TEAM, has been released.

This project is one of the initiatives in “Drive Your Teenage Dreams.” (DYTD), a project launched by STARBASE Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation to create new ways to enjoy cars.

This dance session movie is the second installment of HIACE DANCE SESSION, which was released in November 2021 and became a hot topic.

As the name HIACE DANCE SESSION suggests, DYTD’s iconic matte black HIACE will be available this time as well. Furthermore, this time there is also a dance scene inside the HIACE car. The dance expresses the fun feeling of riding in a car and the unrealistic dream world of dancing, making it even more of a combination of TOYOTA and dance.

In addition to the dance moves of these two globally active performers, the costumes that are a revival of 90’s HIPHOP are also worth paying attention to.

The outfit incorporates vintage Carhartt duck vests, duck jackets, and Timberland 6-inch boots, creating a styling reminiscent of the 1990s HIPHOP scene.

Also, a behind-the-scenes video of the filming will be released at a later date.

It was a dream-like moment to be able to co-star with RIEHATA, who I admire so much, in this dance session! In particular, RIEHATA’s style was very difficult for me and there were some parts that I wasn’t used to, but I was able to get a great VIBE and was able to take a photo!

■What is Drive Your Teenage Dreams?

“Drive Your Teenage Dreams.” is a project launched by STARBASE Co., Ltd. and Toyota Motor Corporation to create new ways to enjoy cars. Toyota’s new challenge is how it can be accepted by the culture of the younger generation. “A car is a toy, and a car is a secret base.” Without being bound by preconceived notions, we will create fun places and moments where cars can be fun, and bring together people who want to have fun with cars. This is the kind of thought that is put into it. At the center of the project is a customized matte black Hiace. This Hiace, which expands the possibilities for enjoyment, has been customized with the emphasis on the momentary feeling of being “cool” when you see it, without thinking about the reason behind it. The existence of this Hiace sparked various cultural projects.
