Hi'Spec releases the original soundtrack for "Everything at Dawn," directed by Sho Miyake

It has been six years since Hi’Spec won the Music Award for “Your Bird Can Sing” at the 73rd Mainichi Film Awards in 2018.

Hi’Spec produced the soundtrack for director Sho Miyake’s latest film, “Everything at Dawn.”

This work has not only been screened in Japan, but has also been officially invited to the 74th Berlin International Film Festival Forum section and won the Best Artistic Contribution Award in the competition section of the 14th Beijing International Film Festival. It is also still being screened at numerous international film festivals, including the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival and the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

The film has been released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan, and is also available for digital sale and rental, and from this month it has been available exclusively on Netflix. An original soundtrack by Hi’Spec, who produced the soundtrack for the entire film, will be released.

He works as a DJ/track maker for SIMI LAB. He produced “Show Off” on SIMI LAB’s first album “Page1:ANATOMY OF INSANE” (2011) and several tracks on their second album “Page2:Mind Over Matter” (2014). In June 2016, he released his first produced album “Zama City Making 35”. He also plays at the club as a regular DJ at the SIMI LAB-sponsored event “GRINGO”. In 2019, the film “Your Bird Can Sing” directed by Sho Miyake, for which Hi’Spec was in charge of the soundtrack, won the “Music Award” at the 73rd Mainichi Film Awards, and in July of the same year, he released “Your Bird Can Sing Original Soundtrack”. The original novel by Seo Maiko, who won the 2019 Booksellers’ Award for “And Then the Baton Was Passed,” has been adapted into a film by director Miyake Sho, whose film “Keiko: Clear Your Eyes” was screened at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival and over 20 other film festivals, and won the Japanese Film Award, Best Director Award, and five other categories at the 77th Mainichi Film Awards, earning rave reviews both at home and abroad.

Hokuto Matsumura and Mone Kamishiraishi, who played a married couple in the NHK morning drama “Kum Come Everybody,” co-star in a film for the first time, and in this film they play colleagues with a special relationship in which they become the best understanding partner.

It was officially invited to the Forum section of the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, the closing film of the Hong Kong International Film Festival, officially entered into the competition section of the Beijing International Film Festival and won the Best Artistic Contribution Award, and was selected as the opening film of the Jeonju International Film Festival, and is scheduled to be released in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and France.

Life is harder than you can imagine, but there is light too.

Once a month, Fujisawa-san’s PMS (premenstrual syndrome) makes her irritable and uncontrollable. One day, a small action by her coworker, Yamazoe-kun, causes her to explode in anger. However, Yamazoe-kun, who had just changed jobs and seemed unmotivated, also suffers from panic disorder, and has given up on many things, losing his will to live and his energy. Supported by the understanding of his coworkers, the two of them are neither friends nor lovers, but a special feeling like comrades begins to grow between them.
