Akasaka Cipher debuted last year as a hip-hop group from Loveit! Their debut song, Love it Wednesday feat. Umeda Cipher, attracted a lot of attention with its performance at LOVE IT! ROCK 2023, and was released as a digital single at the end of last year, and was also released on vinyl in March 2024.
About five months later, Akasaka Cipher has become even more powerful with the addition of new member Reiwa Roman. The long-awaited second single “Say What?”, which was first performed on the show and also got the crowd excited at the recently held “LOVE IT! ROCK 2024”, will be released digitally today, September 4th (Wednesday)!
This song is a collaboration between chelmico and Akasaka Cipher, which was made possible when Akasaka Cipher member Mitorizu’s Moriyama personally approached the rap unit chelmico, with whom he has regular contact, to produce a song. The lyrics are full of chelmico’s humor and playfulness, and the light, catchy sound highlights the individuality of the Akasaka Cipher members.

■ Akasaka Cipher Profile
A hip-hop group from the TBS morning variety show “Lovett!”. Formed in June 2023 by Mitarashizu, Arco & Peace, Long Coat Daddy, and Suehirogarizu. They appeared at the show’s first music event, “LOVE IT! ROCK 2023,” held at the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium in Tokyo in August 2023, and livened up the venue. In December of the same year, they released “Love it Wednesday feat. Umeda Cipher,” produced by Umeda Cipher. In August 2024, Reiwa Roman joined as a new member. They will be participating in “LOVE IT! ROCK 2024” for the second consecutive year with their second single “Say What?”. They performed a spectacular performance in front of an audience of 10,000 people, becoming a hot topic.
■Chelmico Profile
A rap unit formed by two friends, Rachel and Mamiko.
Formed in 2014, the band made their long-awaited major debut in 2018 after an indie career.
She has released four albums so far, and is also actively engaged in solo activities under the name Suzuki Makiko/Rachel, evolving as a rapper. She is active in various fields, including commercial songs, drama theme songs, providing songs to artists, and guest appearances. She will release her new EP “ati natu ep” on July 24th.
In addition, they will be holding a tour called “ati natu tour (zansyo)” to promote the EP!
